Happy Birthday Dad

So tomorrow is my dear father's 53rd birthday. And I thought I'd write a little bit about him and how much he means to me (: I am a complete daddy's girl. Not in the way that I am spoiled or anything - 'cause trust me, I'm not - but because of the way I look up to him and how he's there for me. He has always been the sane one in the family, a rock in the tumultuous ocean which is my family. He's not faultless, but who ever is? He always ALWAYS found a way to go to all of my sporting events, even if they were all the way in effing Colfax, and support me. He knows I'm intelligent and even when I got bad grades in my slacking period in high school, he never talked down to me. We have real conversations about business and politics, although I'm fairly ignorant on both subjects he teaches me and enlightens me, even if we don't agree on something - which is surprisingly often. He is very inspiring, he followed his dream of baseball and when that finally ended in the minor leagues, he started his own business. I see how hard he works at it and I admire his dedication and tenacity. Since the economy turned bad, the electrical business went down and it breaks my heart to see my dad struggle to get jobs, but I know that he'll pull through, just like he always has. So here's to you Dad and to every other dad like mine out there!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

My dad had a cedar box with this image on the front! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this picture.
I HAD to put it on here.
